Hailing from Corvallis, Oregon, his extensive background includes general surgery, trauma, vascular surgery, and robotic surgery. Notably, he played a pivotal role in shaping the future of young surgeons as the first program director in training general surgeons in the Mid Willamette Valley, Oregon.
