Three Frederick leaders in economic development and local non-profit selected for statewide professional development program

FREDERICK, Md., Feb. 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Leadership Maryland announced today that Jodie Bollinger, Mary Ford-Naill, and Ashley Waters of Frederick have been chosen to participate in the statewide professional development program as a member of the Class of 2023.

The selected trio has significant experience in leadership roles within the Frederick community.

Jodie Bollinger currently serves as the Acting Executive Director for the Frederick County Office of Economic and Workforce Development and has over 25 years of economic development experience in the Frederick. She has also been involved in numerous community initiatives including serving on local boards including the Frederick Innovative Technology Center Inc. and the Downtown Frederick Partnership.

Mary Ford-Naill currently serves as Manager of Economic Development at The City of Frederick, and on the board of the Golden Mile Alliance and techfrederick. Mary has also previously served on the board for Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, Saint John's Catholic School, and Downtown Frederick Partnership, and is heavily involved in Rotary as a former Area Governor and Club President.

Ashley Water currently serves as the Executive Director of Woman to Woman Mentoring and previously served as the Director of UMBC Operations at the University at Shady Grove in Rockville and Communications Manager for The City of Frederick. Ashley is very active with many organizations in the local and regional community, currently serving as the President of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.

These local leaders are three of 53 individuals chosen for Leadership Maryland's 30th class, who will complete the eight-month, hands-on learning program focused on the state's most vital issues. The program will run from April to December, and include five, two-day sessions focused on Maryland's five main geographic regions and the most vital issues impacting economic development, education, health and human services, criminal justice, the environment, and multi-culturalism/diversity across the state. More than 100 experts representing Maryland's business, government, education, and non-profit communities will serve as panelists and guest speakers.
