UMass Global announces expanded admissions for Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership program

Students need not wait for the fall; applications open for Ed.D. program's first January start

The University of Massachusetts Global has a new admissions option for students who want to earn a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership degree online. Now, for the first time, students can begin studies leading to an Ed.D. degree in January instead of waiting for a new academic year to begin in August or September.

"The new cohort of students will be joining a doctoral program with a demonstrated history of creating transformational leaders," School of Education associate dean Patrick Ainsworth said. "Students come from a variety of professions including education, emergency services, health care, business and industry, nonprofits, and the military."

UMass Global, formerly Brandman University, is now accepting applications from students who want to begin the program in January 2023. Students who join the Ed.D. program will participate in online classes. Immersions will take place virtually and face-to-face, with in-person attendance only required for one annual gathering. Students will complete a Transformational Change Project that aligns with their professional aspirations. This work can be applied for the betterment of their chosen organization prior to writing their dissertation.
