Hygiene Kits Provided to the Most Vulnerable During Covid-19 Crisis on World Water Day - Helping Hand for Relief and Development

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 22, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The recent outbreak of the Coronavirus or Covid-19 has affected countries worldwide causing approximately 270,000 to be infected and leaving over 11,000 people dead as of March 22, 2020. As governments, medical workers, and scientists struggle to contain and eliminate this viral outbreak, global citizens are doing their part in ensuring safety through self-distancing and confinement.

As we celebrate World Water Day, the most vulnerable populations around the world are ill equipped to handle this extremely infectious disease. It is a tragic crisis in the making especially for refugees and poverty stricken people living in close quarters.

Through handwashing workshops HHRD supported orphans as well as, other vulnerable people such as refugees, widows, and the elderly are instilling healthy habits of hygiene.
