AIME announces robust list of 2020 sponsors committed to growing mortgage broker market share this year

The Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME), a non-profit, national trade membership association created exclusively for independent mortgage brokers, announced its 2020 sponsors. AIME's network of new and returning sponsors highlights a renewed commitment in the industry to empowering independent mortgage brokers. One hundred percent of 2019 lender sponsors returned in 2020 further cementing the value of an AIME sponsorship.

Sponsors share the goal with AIME to expand the broker channel market share to ultimately enable more people to become homeowners. Returning this year as title lender sponsor, United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) has been the nation's number one wholesale mortgage lender for five years running and is the second-largest mortgage lender overall. UWM's commitment to growing and empowering the independent mortgage channel is exemplified in its investment in AIME year-over-year. AIME also welcomed several new sponsors in 2020, including two of the largest banks in the country; Flagstar Bank and Franklin American Mortgage: A Division of Citizen Bank.

"We are thrilled to welcome back all of 2019's lender sponsors for 2020 and continue to add new companies to work with," said Katie Sweeney, executive vice president of strategy at AIME and who oversees all sponsorship relationships. "This year marks the largest number of sponsors that are investing in the mission to grow and equip the broker community to best serve borrowers."

With a team committed to membership engagement, AIME challenges its sponsors to receive and respond to feedback to create an environment of consistent improvement that serves both brokers and borrowers. AIME provides sponsors with in depth insights into the channel as a whole and on a more granular basis based on the needs of its members. Sponsors also have the ability to showcase product offerings and interact with AIME members directly at three flagship member events throughout the year.

"Sponsorship is a key component to AIME's mission of supplying innovative and advanced resources that provide our members with the tools they need to build and nurture strong relationships with consumers," said Anthony Casa, chairman of AIME. "We are grateful for the trust and support of the nineteen organizations that are our 2020 sponsors and we are looking forward to putting their investments in our organization to work to support our members."
