As the first two-in-one desktop label solution in the BIXOLON lineup, the XQ-840 incorporates an 8-inch tablet built with a 5MP Auto focus camera which enables touchscreen operation and barcode capture. Running Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, the tablet provides 1GB RAM, 8GB Flash memory for fast data processing and supports 2 USB Host Ports, Ethernet, Dual-band WLAN(2.4G and 5G) and Dual Bluetooth (V4.2 Classic/LE) connectivity. The XQ-840 ensures stable communication and enhanced security via USB communication between the tablet and the printer, allowing the power of the tablet to be sourced directly from the printer for efficient operation.

Providing Android and Xamarin SDKs to help developers easily customize applications, the XQ-840 is pre-loaded with powerful software including BIXOLON Food Safety Label, Label Artist™ Mobile (Android), BIXOLON Utility, and BIXOLON Downloader. With the support of XCM™ a Companion Application, businesses can also benefit from XPM™, a Web-Based Printer Profile Management Software offered by BIXOLON allowing users remotely view the clear status of printers or precisely replicate printer settings.

This 4-inch (118mm) label printer while providing fast print speeds up to a 6-inch (152mm) per second at 203 dpi to produce high-quality printing texts, graphics and 1D/2D barcodes. It is fully compatible with market-leading programming languages including SLCS, BPL-Z™, BPL-E™ and BXL/POS. Supporting a media roll diameter up to 130 mm and Auto-cutter, peeler and battery options for mobile environments.

The XQ-840 is available for order for the BIXOLON Head Office sales region. The product will then be available to order from BIXOLON Europe and BIXOLON America's sales regions from April 2020.
