E. Dorinda Shelley turns to writing children's books

E. Dorinda Shelley again enters the world of children's books with the publication of her second work under the same category, “The Helium Egg.” Published under PRGott Books Publishing and illustrated by renowned children's book illustrator Eleanor A. Hutton, this children's farm storybook will soon be making its first appearance at the upcoming 2019 Beijing International Book Fair on August 21-25, 2019.
 
The author is no stranger to writing and publishing, having co-authored several medical books with her late husband and fellow dermatologist, Dr. Walter B. Shelley. Writing children's books has been an avocation; now, she has authored four books and co-authored another so far.
 
“The Helium Egg” takes place in a barn, where a little black hen finds a soft blue egg which is unlike any other she, the other hens, ducks, or geese have ever laid. What adds to the mystery is that it rapidly expands and floats like a balloon, much to the shock of the other barnyard animals. They have to sit on the egg to weight it down and keep it from floating out of the barn.

About the Author
 
Dr. Shelley is a retired dermatologist. She grew up in Missouri, spending weekends on a farm with friendly horses. She, her husband, and three children lived for many years on a “farmette” in NW Ohio, surrounded by many of the animals in the Helium Books. This is the second in a series of books she has written and Eleanor Hutton has illustrated.
