Community Bank System, Inc. Announces 12% or Four Cent Increase to Its Quarterly Dividend Resulting in Its 26th Consecutive Year of Dividend Increases


Community Bank System, Inc. (NYSE:CBU) announced that it has declared a
quarterly cash dividend of $0.38 per share on its common stock. The
dividend will be payable on October 10, 2018 to shareholders of record
as of September 14, 2018.

The $0.38 cash dividend represents a $0.04, or 12%, increase and an
annualized yield of 2.34% based on the closing share price of $64.89 on
August 14, 2018. This increase marks the twenty-sixth (26th)
consecutive year of dividend increases for the Company. President and
Chief Executive Officer, Mark E. Tryniski, commented, "This dividend
increase of four cents reflects the Company's confidence in its earnings
strength and is evidence of its ability to invest in the Company's
long-term growth while generating premium returns for its shareholders."
