Lauri King named vice president of new procurement division at hospitality design firm Interior Image Group.

DYER, Ind. (PRWEB) May 22, 2018

Interior Image Group (IIG) is pleased to announce the addition of Lauri King as the vice president of the firm's new procurement division. While IIG offered purchasing services to clients in the past, this newly created division will specifically serve clients' increasing focus on high-quality sourcing.

IIG's new department will help clients procure their FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), which includes everything from bathroom accessories, furniture and finishes, to operating supplies. Beyond simply purchasing these essential items, procurement specialists bring the interior designer's vision to fruition at a cost and timeline that is beneficial to the client. This requires finding and building relationships with the industry's best vendors.

King's first position in the hotel industry was working for a hotel design firm; she then spent seven years as a construction project manager for Benderson Development, Inc., a retail shopping plaza developer, and three years as the senior project manager or GS Associates, Inc., a hospitality procurement company. In 2002, she became the director of purchasing at Buffalo Lodging Associates, a hotel management, company where she was responsible for 35 new construction hotel projects and more than 25 renovations over 15 years.

"High-quality procurement is the best thing I offer hotel owners," King said. "Yes they've hired a designer and architect, but they also have a business to run. As a procurement specialist, I have an understanding of what is important to a hotel owner/developer; I am able to minimize loss of revenue during a renovation and ensure that project timelines are maintained."

With their procurement department, IIG can now offer clients service that covers both the design and purchasing facets of the hospitality development process.

"We were searching for [King's] level of leadership and experience to oversee, enhance and build this new division," said Patti Tritschler, president of IIG. "Our clients are going to benefit from her years of project management along with her perspective from the hotel ownership side in renovating and new-build hotel projects. She is going to make incredible things happen at IIG."

"What drew me to IIG was their level of professionalism," King said. "It's not just talent, it's the processes they have under the leadership of Patti. I'm excited to work with someone of Patti's caliber while offering my experience and see young talent flourish."

IIG's procurement services are now available. Visit iigdesign.com to learn more or schedule a consultation.
