Sixth Annual A-RTS Brings 150 National Artists to the DC Area This May

The Sixth Annual A-RTS, the Affordable Arts Festival, creates an outdoor gallery on the streets surrounding Rockville Town Square May 5-6, 2018. The free event is one of the region's premier arts festivals.

The Sixth Annual A-RTS at Rockville Town Square, the Affordable Arts Festival, one of the region's premier events, will showcase the work of 150 nationally recognized artists from around the United States in a spectacular outdoor gallery. The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6, 2018. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
 
Throughout the weekend, the team responsible for creating the renowned Bethesda Row Art Festival will bring the streets surrounding Rockville Town Square to life as a vibrant outdoor gallery full of stunning art, live music, and artisanal foods. "There will be works of art of interest and appeal to everyone - from the budding collector to the art aficionado," notes A-RTS Festival Director Robin Markowitz. 
 
Festival-goers can discover a truly diverse group of artists all of whom share a passion for creating the finest art available in America today. The artists were selected by jury based on the creativity, innovation, and exquisite execution of their original works. All artists will have work for sale at the Festival that is "Affordable".
 
Represented at the Festival will be a wide variety of media, including ceramics, drawings, fiber, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood and mixed media. A complete list of artists and media is available at http://www.a-rts.org.

A-RTS will be held rain or shine at Rockville Town Square, located at 200 East Middle Lane, Rockville, MD 20850, and on the surrounding streets (Maryland Avenue and E. Middle Lane). Streets are closed to traffic for the Festival. The Festival is within easy walking distance from the Rockville Metro station. Parking is available at numerous garages conveniently located around the site.
