Pop Culture Campaign Based on Apartments of Fictional Superheroes And TV Characters Generates Awareness and Interest Among City Renters Nationwide

ForRent.com® today announced it received the "Best Use of Content" award at The Drum® Search Awards USA 2017, held September 20th in New York City. The prestigious honor, earned in partnership with ForRent.com's digital marketing agency, Foundation Digital, was awarded for ForRent.com's innovative 2016-17 campaign that included plans and listings for apartments of fictional characters from Netflix, TV shows, and movies, including superheroes from the Marvel cinematic universe.

Also at this year's The Drum Search Awards, ForRent.com were awarded "Highly Commended," the second-highest ranking, in the "In-House Team of the Year" category.

ForRent.com's content campaign, which also included guides to apartment and city living, was targeted toward young renters in city dwellings. The campaign grew from its origins as a blog into a multi-faceted effort including an online publication, and resulted in numerous inbound links and citations from major media outlets. It produced significant overall SEO growth on the geo level, and substantially increased targeted traffic.

ForRent.com's winning campaign showcased fictional apartments for characters including Peter Parker of Spiderman fame; Netflix' BoJack Horseman; Marvel Comics' Dr. Strange; and Luke Cage, lead character in the Marvel Comics/Netflix TV series of the same name. The whimsical apartment listings include floor plans, inferred locations, story tidbits, and information about actual film locations.
