Patriot Software , a provider of online payroll and accounting software, offers customers a new feature to use blank check stock to print checks.

Patriot Software, a provider in online accounting and payroll software added a new feature to its software that allows users to print checks on blank check stock. Customers no longer need to order preprinted check stock to pay employees or vendors.

The option to use blank check stock is a huge benefit for Patriot's Certified Advisors, such as accountant and bookkeepers, who run payroll for multiple clients. Certified Advisors will not need to keep preprinted check stock for each client.

All payroll and 1099 software customers will enjoy the cost savings of blank check stock, which is less expensive than preprinted check stock.

Of all the checks written in the U.S., 12 percent are for small business payroll. And, a typical U.S. business uses checks to make 50 percent of its B2B payments.

To use blank check stock, software users must use a MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) printer cartridge. Users will also need to set up their Patriot accounts to print bank account information on the blank checks.
