Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) has expanded their services to the Houston Metro area and surrounding communities.

Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), with headquarters in Culver City, California, is proud to announce that their therapy services are now available in the Houston, Texas Region. AST provides autism therapy support and programs to families, schools, individuals and communities.

From its inception, AST served as a compassionate advocate for children and families navigating the challenges of autism. Having worked with the New Orleans autism community for the past year and having been embraced by the community, AST has greatly enjoyed serving the South and found that there are not enough home-based ABA programs in the Houston area. AST's ABA programs meet families' needs in a natural environment and our services are a perfect addition to the Houston community.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a far growing disorder. While the reasons for this increase are still under question, one fact is certain; quality services for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder are in short supply. In an effort to address this need Autism Spectrum Therapies is expanding its operations into a variety of regions throughout the country. Last year AST began providing services to individuals in the New Orleans and Seattle regions, and most recently the organization opened services to individuals in the Houston metro area and surrounding regions. In regards to the recent move into the Houston autism community AST's CEO and Co-Founder, Dr. Ronit Molko says, “We are very excited to be serving individuals with autism and their families in the state of Texas. We are excited to have Amanda Dahir, Ph.D., BCBA-D, on board as AST's lead representative in Houston and are proud to be serving the Texas autism community in order to continue improving the lives of those affected by autism.”

Dr. Amanda Dahir is leading AST's efforts in Houston. Dr. Dahir earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in School Psychology from Louisiana State University and a B.S. in Psychology from University of Florida. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctorate (BCBA-D). Dr. Dahir began her ABA career as a teacher at the New England Center for Children, a school acclaimed for its training and development of young behavior analysts. Most recently, Amanda worked at The Essential Learning Group in Shanghai, China where she served as Director of Clinical Services and Educational Psychologist.
