Hamilton Sundstrand's Customer Response Center Reaches One-Year Milestone; Serves 1,000 Customers

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn., Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation UTX, today celebrates the one year anniversary of its Customer Response Center. In its first year, the Hamilton Sundstrand Customer Response Center responded to more than 9,000 inquiries from nearly 1,000 unique commercial customers, or approximately two-thirds of the industry, maintaining customer service levels at 98 percent for aircraft on ground (AOG) issues.

Based at Hamilton Sundstrand's headquarters in Windsor Locks, Conn., the Customer Response Center is staffed by engineers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to help customers keep aircraft flying.  In total, the center supports over 1,500 operators flying 70,000 aircraft containing more than four million Hamilton Sundstrand components.
