Standard & Poor's Announces Change to U.S. Index

NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2011
NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Campus Communities Inc. ACC will replace The Lubrizol Corp. LZ in the S&P MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on Friday, September 16, 2011. Lubrizol is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. BRK/B in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals.

American Campus Communities, a real estate investment trust (REIT), engages in the acquisition, design, finance, development, lease, and management of student housing properties. Headquartered in Austin, TX, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Residential REITs Sub-Industry index.
