VANCOUVER, CANADA / TheNewswire / May 23, 2017 - Network Media Group Inc. NTE and Network Entertainment Inc. ("Network" or "the Company") is proud to announce its 2016 documentary series 'Facing' (produced by National Geographic) has been nominated for a lineup of prestigious awards, including the Realscreen Award for Best Non-Fiction Programming and five Leo Awards including for Best Documentary Series.

Each hour-long episode tackles the myths, legends and truths behind powerful headline-makers, including Pablo Escobar, Saddam Hussein, Suge Knight, Vladimir Putin and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 'Facing' premiered in the United States on August 30, 2016, and in Canada on September 4, 2016, followed by a global release in multiple territories on the National Geographic Channel.

Network's founder and CEO, and producer of the 'Facing' series, Derik Murray, said "We were thrilled to work with National Geographic on this series and we're excited that our team at Network Entertainment has been recognized in the USA with the prestigious Realscreen nomination, and honored in our hometown of Vancouver by the Leo Awards."

The series was nominated for a Realscreen award for Best Non-Fiction Programming under the category 'History/Biographical', and is nominated in five award categories for the Leo Awards, including Best Documentary Series and under the documentary series category for Best Direction ('Facing Putin'), Best Cinematography ('Facing Putin'), Best Picture Editing ('Facing Escobar'), and Best Picture Editing ('Facing Putin').

The Realscreen Awards, which recognize the best in unscripted and non-fiction programming from around the world, will be presented during a ceremony held at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica, California, on June 7, in conjunction with the upcoming Realscreen West conference, which takes place June 6-8.

The 2017 Leo Awards will be held at a Gala Awards Ceremony on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency.

'Facing' was produced by Network Entertainment for National Geographic Channels.
