Mills Fleet Farm Appoints Wayne Sales as Interim CEO

APPLETON, Wis. & BRAINERD, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Mills Fleet Farm, a Midwestern, value-based retailer of lifestyle merchandise serving active, outdoor families and suburban and farm consumers, today announced the appointment of Wayne Sales as Interim Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"). Sales succeeds Duncan Mac Naughton, who is stepping down to join Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR, effective immediately. Mills Fleet Farm's existing executive management team will continue in their current roles.

Wayne Sales is an experienced and respected retail executive, with a track record of more than 40 years in the industry. Sales, who currently serves on Mills Fleet Farm's Board of Directors, was formerly CEO and President of Canadian Tire, one of the largest retailers in Canada, where he presided over significant growth and transformation until stepping down in 2006. Most recently, Sales served as Chairman, CEO, and President of SUPERVALU from 2012 to 2013. During his career, Sales has served on the boards of directors of several major retailers, including Canadian Tire, SUPERVALU / Albertson's, Tim Hortons, and Toys "R" Us, and has held leadership positions across merchandising, distribution, marketing and store operations management.
