Nations Basketball Stars Invade Southern California for Ballislife All American Game Presented by Eastbay

LONG BEACH, Calif., April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A plethora of the nation's best boys high school basketball stars are scheduled to participate in the annual event, including Cole Anthony of Oak Hill Academy (Va.) and Scottie Lewis of Ranney School (N.J.). Two-time California Mr. Basketball Player of the Year Onyeka Okongwu of Chino Hills (Calif.) headlines local participants.

The 9th Annual Ballislife All-American Game (BILAAG) presented by Eastbay will feature many of the nation's top high school boys basketball players in Long Beach, Calif. The national high school all-star game is set to take place May 4 at The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center (3100 S Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802, USA).

The 2019 BILAAG begins at 4:15 p.m. PT/7:15 p.m. ET and is preceded by The BIL Slam Dunk Contest presented by Eastbay beginning at 3:00 p.m. PT.

Scheduled to participate at the event is 6-foot-3 Cole Anthony, the nation's top-rated point guard from Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.). Other top-rated players scheduled to compete include Florida-bound Scottie Lewis of Ranney School (Tinton Falls, N.J.) and N.C. State commit Jalen Lecque of Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.), who is testing the waters of the 2019 NBA Draft.

USC-bound Onyeka Okongwu of Chino Hills (Calif.), named Cal-Hi Sports Mr. Basketball the past two seasons, will play one last time in front of his vast local fan base, along with another Trojans' Ballislife All-American – 6-foot-9 Isaiah Mobley (Rancho Christian, Temecula, Calif.). Other California participants include Duke-bound Boogie Ellis (Mission Bay, San Diego) and uncommitted Cassius Stanley of two-time CIF Open champ Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.).

The Ballislife All-American Game had its largest viewing audience ever last year and fans witnessed the first overtime game in the event's history, as Team Future defeated Team Elite, 146-143. Moses Brown (UCLA) set the pace for Team Future, scoring 16 of his 22 points in the second half. Joining Brown as game co-MVP was Emmitt Williams (LSU), who finished with game-highs of 31 points and 12 rebounds for Team Elite.
