During the 2019 Open Enrollment Period (OEP), which runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, 2018, Medicaid-eligible adults and children can select WellCare as their health plan, providing access to preventive care and wellness resources. In addition to 100 percent coverage of immunizations, pregnancy services, hospital services, home healthcare services and emergency/urgent care, the plan also provides special added benefits to improve quality of life at no cost, including:

• Car seats for pregnant members;
• Lifeline mobile phones;
• Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts annual memberships for members ages 6 to 18;
• Steps2Success job trainings;
• Personal finance training;
• GED testing;
• Healthy Rewards Program which provides gift card rewards for members participating in wellness visits and preventive care.

WellCare also covers the transportation cost for families or friends to take members to appointments, over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and supplies not covered under the Heritage Health program (up to $120 worth of OTC items per household every year), and a discount card for items such as groceries and household supplies.
