Office Depot's CompuCom Earns ISO 20000 Recertification

Validation reflects company's ten-year commitment to ISO standard, excellence in quality and IT service management

CompuCom®, a subsidiary of Office Depot, Inc. ODP and leading provider of managed digital workplace services, today announced it has achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO®) 20000 recertification, the international standard for IT Service Management (ITSM).

Based on the adoption of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) best practices, the ISO 20000 certification is one of many standards and framework components that CompuCom follows and benchmarks for the company's industry-leading delivery of managed digital services. First certified in 2008, CompuCom remains one of a select group of companies currently registered in North America.

ISO 20000 is the first formal international standard specifically related to ITSM. To be certified, companies must implement an ITSM process and system that ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of vital information. The recertification was completed through a third-party audit by DQS, Inc., an independent certification and testing company. The audit verified compliance of standardized, consistent processes and procedures. To determine continued compliance with ISO 20000, DQS will conduct periodic routine surveillance audits of these operations.
