Then, on August 9, 2017, Babcock again revealed negative results for Q2 ended June 30, 2017 due to additional cost overruns and delays on multiple Renewable projects including $115 million in charges and also disclosed a material weakness in the internal controls over financial reporting at one Renewable business unit. The Company has been sued in a securities class action lawsuit for failing to disclose material information, violating federal securities laws. Recently, the court in that case denied the Company's motion to dismiss, allowing the case to move forward.
