Alphabet, General Motors And 3 Stocks To Watch Heading Into Tuesday

With U.S. stock futures trading slightly lower this morning on Tuesday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

  • Wall Street expects Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) to post quarterly earnings at $2.55 per share on revenue of $55.47 billion after the closing bell. Microsoft shares gained 0.3% to $346.30 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts are expecting Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) to have earned $1.34 per share on revenue of $72.80 billion for the latest quarter. The company will release earnings after the markets close. Alphabet shares rose 0.3% to $121.93 in after-hours trading.
  • NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI) reported better-than-expected results for its second quarter and issued strong forecast for the third quarter. NXP Semiconductors shares gained 2.2% to $215.45 in the after-hours trading session.

  • Before the opening bell, General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) is expected to report quarterly earnings at 46 cents per share on revenue of $15 billion. GE shares fell 0.1% to $110.15 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts expect General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) to report quarterly earnings at $1.85 per share on revenue of $42.64 billion after the closing bell. GM shares rose 0.2% to $39.38 in after-hours trading.
