Amlin PLC (OTC:
APLCY) swung to a profit in the first half.
Amlin posted a profit before tax of GBP184.5 million, versus a year-ago loss of GBP192.3 million.
Amlin's gross written premium rose 19.8% to GBP1,814.7 million, from GBP1,514.6 million. Its earnings per share came in at 33.7 pence, versus a year-ago loss of 30.7 pence.
