Amazon.com Inc. AMZN has officially announced its upcoming “Prime Big Deals Day 2023,” scheduled for Oct. 10 and 11. Here’s everything customers need to know about the event and its significance as the holiday season approaches.
What Happened: This sales event is strategically positioned ahead of the holiday season and allows shoppers to take advantage of discounts and kickstart their holiday shopping.
While Amazon Prime Big Deals Day is a boon for Prime members, it’s worth noting that in the U.S., the membership typically costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year.
However, new subscribers can take advantage of a 30-day free trial just in time for the sale.

Early Deals And Offers: Although the main event kicks off on Oct.10 at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET, Amazon has already started offering early deals on select items, including Amazon Fire TVs, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and smartwatches.
Shoppers can also request invites to purchase specific products during the event.
Special Promotions: Amazon is sweetening the deal with special promotions leading up to Prime Big Deals Day.
Prime members who download the Amazon Photos app and upload a picture by Oct. 7 can receive a free $15 Amazon credit. Additionally, Amazon-branded credit cardholders can get 10% back on Amazon devices purchased between Oct. 2-12.
Newcomers to Amazon Music Unlimited can enjoy a complimentary four-month subscription while existing subscribers can switch to a family plan for the same duration at the cost of their current individual membership.
Save The Date And Track Deals With Alexa: Users who have an Alexa device at their place can use it to monitor deals and mark their calendars for Prime Big Deal Days. Users can receive advance deal notifications from Alexa, up to 24 hours before the event, for eligible items saved in their wish list or shopping cart.
Furthermore, to ensure you don’t miss the event, simply instruct Alexa to set a reminder for Prime Big Deal Days.
Why It’s Important: Apart from Amazon, other major retailers like Best Buy BBY, Walmart Inc. WMT, and Target TGT are likely to host competing sales during this period.
However, no rival sale announcements have been made yet.
