Shares of Shutterfly, Inc. SFLY tumbled 2 percent on Tuesday.

Fox News Channel journalist Megyn Kelly posted a series of complaints about the company’s service on her Twitter Inc TWTR account.

On the afternoon of December 23, Kelly wrote:

“Hey @Shutterfly- thanks for lying for weeks about sending out our Christmas card order only to admit today it was all B.S. #notprofessional”

She then added:

“I will never use this service (@Shutterfly) again. Lied right to us about our Xmas cards only to admit later they failed & covered it up.”

And:

“FWIW, I have never used twitter to publicly shame a company before in my life.@Shutterfly was so outrageously deceptive, they deserved it.”

A few hours later, she tweeted:

“.Shutterfly now working to resolve Christmascardgate. Appreciate it, but hope others w/o Twitter presence can get same att'n.”

It should be noted that, unlike any regular angry tweet, Kelly’s tweets resonated among the public. Her profile boasts more than 2.1 million followers. Her first two tweets received a combined 237 shares, 392 replies and 971 likes.

Kelly went on to retweet some other users’ experiences, transforming the delay in deliveries into a full-blown scandal.

In other news, it was announced that Kelly will leave Fox News and join NBC later this year.
