spiked higher Tuesday, following a report from
Reuters
that it was in talks with Sanofi

over a sweetened offer. Meidvation later confirmed it had received and rejected an offer of $58.00 per share in cash from Sanfoi, plus a CVR for Talazoparib sales, worth up to $3.00 per share. Medivation said it had entered into confidentiality agreements with a number of parties that have expressed interest in exploring a potential transaction. Medivation closed at $61.76 on Tuesday and traded as high as $62.90 after-hours.
