Chipotle Stock Unaffected By Company-Wide Closure February 8

Shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. CMG were trading higher by 0.3 percent at $456.32 late Friday morning after the company made a somewhat surprising and perhaps unusual announcement.

According to Time, Chipotle Mexican Grill is planning on closing all of its stores for a few hours on February 8 for a meeting that involves all staff members.

Chipotle Mexican Grill's stock has been hammered following a string of E. coli outbreaks that have been confirmed and linked to its restaurant. There has yet to be an official confirmation from the U.S. government that the E. coli outbreak is over.
