China is making a push to create national network of electric vehicle charging stations, according to
Xinhua news agency as reported by Reuters on Sunday. The effort is part of a goal to have five million green vehicles on China roads by the year 2020, according to a senior energy official.
The lack of charging stations is said to have been a major factor in holding back sales of electric cars in China by Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA, BYD Company Ltd. BYDDF and others.
Tesla Motors closed Friday at 247.57 Up $7.69.
