IPO Lookout: IPOs Up Double Digits On The Week

It's been a busy week, with 12 initial public offerings priced and opened -- including the fifth-largest IPO of 2014.

As the stock market pushed on to new highs, IPO investors continued their recent success, picking up another 10 percent, even with a couple of pain-causing IPOs.

Winners for the week of June 16 were Viper Energy VNOM, ZS Pharma ZSPH, Zafgen ZFGN and Kite Pharma KITE. Respectively, these companies enjoyed gains of 28, 55, 25 and 50 percent, based on their priced IPOs.

The fifth largest IPO of 2014, Markit MRKT, opened Thursday with very notable success; making gains in excess of 10 percent. The financial research firm raised $1.28 billion in its IPO by selling an upsized offering of 53.5 million shares for $24 per share, the middle of its range.
