Con Edison Updates New York City Power Outages

Con Edison ED reported at 11:00am ET that 600,000 customers were still without power in the 5 boroughs of New York City and another 180,000 in Westchester County. The company said 140,000 of the 930,000 customers affected by Hurricane Sandy had power restored. Con Ed estimates that customers in Brooklyn and Manhattan served by underground electric equipment should have power back within four days, while in in other areas served by overhead power lines, it will take at least a week.
