A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 133 points to 12,659.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 17.90 points to 1,340.30. Nasdaq 100 futures jumped 34.25 points to 2,562.00.

European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 1.68%, London's FTSE 100 Index surged 1.36%, French CAC 40 index jumped 2.81% and German DAX 30 index rose 2.48%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 1.50%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 1.35% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 1.22%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 2.19% and India's Sensex surged 2.59%.

Analysts at RBC Capital upgraded Oracle

from “sector perform” to “outperform.” The target price for Oracle has been raised from $33 to $36. Oracle shares dropped 0.71% to $27.97 in after-hours trading.
