Three-Foot-Tall Joint Joins Lauren Morrow In Her Solo Debut: 'Only Nice When I'm High'

Lauren Morrow has been making waves in the music industry since she stepped out from her role as the lead singer of The Whiskey Gentry. In just a few short years, she's received accolades from Rolling Stone and Garden & Gun, and has even made appearances on PBS. But despite her success, she's yet to release a full-length album - until now.

On March 31st, Morrow will be releasing "People Talk," a collection of ten tracks that truly embody her unique sound and style.

The album has been produced by Parker Cason and mixed by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White, Phish) and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Shania Twain).

"People Talk" showcases Morrow's eclectic musical influences, including 90s Alternative, Britpop, and 80s New Wave, with lyrics that are both moody and honest, and a rock 'n' roll attitude. With her signature soprano and vulnerability, this album is a true expression of all that Morrow is made of, beyond what fans have seen so far.

'Only Nice When I'm High'

To celebrate the release of "People Talk," Morrow has just shared the first single out of the album, "Only Nice When I'm High."

The track is accompanied by a fun and quirky music video that features a three-foot-tall joint - yes, a joint puppet! The song is about Morrow's relationship with marijuana and how it helps her navigate life with anxiety.

"It's a very intimate look inside my brain, my thoughts about myself, and how I fit in the world around me," the artist explains.

The song has been praised for its light-hearted approach to mental health and witty wordplay, with some even calling it the start of a "Geek Country revolution."

Fans can check out the "Only Nice When I'm High" music video today and pre-order "People Talk" on Big Kitty Records, the record label owned by Morrow and her husband, Jason Morrow. Get ready to be swept away by Morrow's one-of-a-kind sound and style!
