According to a report from Bloomberg BusinessWeek, a shareholder of Motorola Mobility has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that it didn't negotiate a better price for its Google acquisition. Google announced on Monday that it would be acquiring Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion.

Investor John W. Keating's complaint, which was filed yesterday at the state courthouse in Chicago, also names Google and nine members of Motorola Mobilty's board as defendants. The companies announced their agreement earlier in the day.

Keating claims that $12.5 billion doesn't "compensate" for shareholders.

According to Google and Motorola, both of its boards have accepted the acquisition and the deal is now only awaiting approval from the U.S. Justice Department. If the deal is accepted, then Google will also gain control of nearly 17,000 Motorola Mobility patents.
