Making Moves Monday: 9 Questions To Start Making Your Dreams Happen

If you know me personally, you know that Monday's are my favorite day of the week. This is because Monday's are the time for us to think of and set our short-term goals for the week. We set goals in order to help us move forward with achieving something we want in our life and in our businesses. Without clear goals and direction, many people find themselves drifting away from their ultimate vision and dream because they lack a definite image of what they want their end results to look like.

Too many people have dreams that they never bring to life because they have no idea where to start, or feel like they've already been in business for too long, or feel like they're just too old or even too young to start now.

Fortunately...

Dreams are just goals with deadlines and they don't care what you've been doing or how old you are, you can still achieve them as soon as you DECIDE to do so.

So, here is the big secret to getting started. JUST START. Start this month. Start this week. No, start today. Actually, start right now. Set your goals, write them down and start taking ACTION. Taking positive action is the key to start turning your dreams into your reality.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself as you begin:

  • 1) What do I want to accomplish, achieve, or create in the next 5 days?
  • 2) What about what's left of the month of August?
  • 3) What would have to happen in the next couple weeks for me to consider this month a successful one?
  • 4) How much money do I want to make?
  • 5) How many clients do I want to sign?
  • 6) How many new, valuable relationships do I want build?
  • 7) What habits do I want to break?
  • 8) What new habits do I want to cultivate that will aid in achieving my goals more effortlessly?
  • 9) And most importantly WHY do I want all these things? What are my drives, motives, desires, values and passions that inspire me to get all these things done?

Whatever you answered for any of the above questions and wherever you are in the process of achieving those goals, just remember, A LOT can happen in a short period of time. So even if you're not exactly where you want to be just yet, keep reminding yourself of why you're doing it and that a lot can happen in a short period of time if you persevere.

Feel free to share with me some of your goals for this week and month. Once you put your goals down in writing, and share them with someone else, you're more likely to hold yourself accountable for achieving them! That's the whole point, isn't it?
