Marc Gardner on Pay Anywhere, a "Very Elegantly Simple Payment Solution"

The founder and President of North American Bancard talks growth, success, new hires and more.

Marc Gardner is an innovator. He built a startup before startups were cool. He did so way back in 1992. And through his company, he's leading the charge with a mobile payment solution that ranks higher than Square.

That payment solution is Pay Anywhere.

"What led up to Pay Anywhere is North American Bancard's success with over 110,000 merchants processing over $1 billion a month in the aggregate of over $12 billion a year," Gardner told Benzinga earlier this year. "Mobile payments, I believe, is the evolution of the whole payment infrastructure."

This afternoon, Gardner dropped by Fox Business to discuss Pay Anywhere, its simplicity, and its ability to drive growth within the firm.

"North American Bancard designed Pay Anywhere to be a very elegantly simple payment solution," Gardner told Fox Business. "How we differentiate is the ease of use and software design. So if you go onto the App Store….you'll see users have ranked us number-one."

When asked about the venues where merchants may discover Pay Anywhere, Gardner pointed to the website as well as the App Store and the Android marketplace.

"We've grown to well over 600 employees since the company was founded in 1992," Gardner said. "We recently hired a number of new engineers and a number of new people in the organization. Pay Anywhere is fueling that growth."

"Support our growth!" Gardner added.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about Pay Anywhere is strongly encouraged to check out Benzinga's own interview with North American Bancard's founder and President, Marc Gardner.
