FOX Business: The Power to Prosper The markets rallied on Tuesday amid data showing the expansion in U.S. manufacturing picked up steam in April. Today's Markets As of 12:00 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 116 points, or 0.88%, to 13329, the S&P 500 gained 16.4 points, or 1.2%, to 1414 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 36.5 points, or 1.2%, to 3083. April was a weak month for Wall Street; indeed, the broad S&P 500 ended with a 0.75% loss, snapping a four-month winning streak. However, May was starting off with a bang. Energy, financial and technology shares were the biggest gainers on the day. Indeed, the four best performers on the Dow were JPMorgan Chase (JPM: 44.07, +1.09, +2.54%), Bank of America (BAC: 8.33, +0.22, +2.71%), Intel (INTC: 28.92, +0.52, +1.85%) and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ: 25.28, +0.52, +2.10%).
