As America's clock advances forward into the election season, the memories of the streets erupting in “democracy” across the Arab world will soon be forgotten. The misguided belief that the United States would hold sway or any influence on the outcome of the so-called revolutions away from radical Islam has been eradicated by the creation of two Sharia based regimes in Egypt and Tunisia with more on the way.

Sadly, one of America's historic and most enduring allies in North Africa is now in the grips of breaking the chains of monarchy and seeking a true path to representative government, however our nation is once again denying the reality of what is occurring on the ground. The estimated 1,000 unemployed graduates who protested around the parliament building as the five men followed the example of the Tunisian origin of the Arab Spring are indicating the growing unrest which started almost a year ago is still pent up and expanding. The paralysis by the West and inaction by the dictators of the MENA region promise to ignite the entire Islamic world once again and this time a U.N. grant or promises of U.S. foreign aid will not stifle the dissent.
