The Three Main Movers In Today's After-Hours Session

Shares of Mattress Firm Holding Corp MFRM were trading down about 5.6 percent on Monday’s after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s fourth quarter fiscal 2015 financial results. The retailer posted earnings of $ 0.53 per share, $0.10 below the Street’s consensus, on revenue of $ 618.55 million, which also came in under expectations for $ 635.71 million. In other news, the firm announced that Ken Murphy had been appointed as the new president and chief executive office, while Steve Stagner had been selected to perform as the executive chairman of the company and chairman of the board of directors.

Although no other major stock lost as much as Mattress Firm on Monday afternoon, Adecoagro SA AGRO was pretty close, as it was trading down about 4.3 percent since the bell rang. The drop was triggered by the announcement of the beginning of a public offering of 12 million of its common shares – which will be sold by certain shareholders. However, the South American agricultural company will not receive any of the proceeds from the offer.

On the other hand, the largest gainer of the afternoon was Markit Ltd MRKT, which was up about 2.4 percent in after-hours, after gaining 13.63 percent during the day on news that it would merge with IHS Inc. IHS, which reported its earnings earlier on Monday.
