‘Walking with God' demonstrates that footwork metaphors are avenue to deeper, more intentional faith

Author, blogger and intercessor Teresa Sandhu breaks new ground with her book “Walking with God: Praying through Footwork Metaphors in Scripture” (published by WestBow Press). “Walking with God” is a guide on how to literally synchronize one's feet with one's faith.

“I was inspired by the breakthroughs the Argentineans made by prayer-walking. They walk in the shoes of the gospel of peace, no matter how dangerous or impoverished a neighborhood is,” says Sandhu. “They take the promises in Biblical metaphors literally. So can we.”

Sandhu presents patterns of footwork from the Bible that develop the inner and outward aspects of intentional faith. Fifty short chapters each focus on one metaphor, one image of movement with God.

“Then exercises – at the pace of a stroll – naturally reflect the selected scriptures,” Sandhu says. “‘Walking with God' has been studied by groups, by individuals approaching God for the first time and by those who travel deeply in His footsteps.”

This creatively-written, contemplative study of footwork metaphors in scripture intends to help readers step into a closer walk with God.
