Versar, Inc. (NYSE MKT:
) announced today that the joint venture between Geo-Marine/Baer Engineering and Environmental Consulting was awarded a new prime contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Albuquerque District, to provide comprehensive environmental services at Cannon and Holloman Air Force Bases in New Mexico. The contract is a single award with a maximum five-year period of performance consisting of a base period and four option years. The full amount of the base year, approximately $824,000, has been awarded to the JV.
Fence to Fence contracts, include but are not limited to the following services: Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program (ESOHCAMP), air quality compliance support, cultural resources, hazardous material management, hazardous waste management, natural resources, pollution prevention, long-term operations and maintenance, long-term monitoring, petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) management, solid waste management, Environmental Management System (EMS) support, waste water and storm water annual permitting and monitoring, drinking water monitoring, and systems optimization.
Jeff Moran, Senior Vice President of Versar's Environmental Services Group said, "This award is a great win for the JV partnership with Baer.
