New York, NY (PRWEB) November 19, 2012

On November 19, 2012, travel company Surf Patch released a statement following a Travel Agent Central article regarding advice given by TSA to travelers trying to fly clear during the holidays.

According to the Travel Agent Central article, “The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has highlighted security procedures ahead of the holiday travel season offering travelers advice on the steps they can take to be prepared for airport security.” The article mentions that snow globes are the biggest concern when it comes to holiday travel security. The article states that TSA will not allow large snow globes, and will allow smaller scale ones that can be paced in a 3-1-1 bag and carried on.

According to TSA Administrator John S. Pistole, “TSA is committed to ensuring the safety of the traveling public using the latest processes and technologies. Passengers who are prepared for security screening at the checkpoint will help streamline the process for themselves and for other travelers.” The article also states that TSA will allow cakes on board the planes, but may involved further inspection.

Travel company knows how crazy airports can get during the holidays, and understands unusual measures sometimes must be taken in order to make sure passengers fly clear. World traveler Takara Licausi stated, “During special events or holidays, airports must sometimes take specific measures to ensure passengers are safe and out of danger, in this case snow globes are a precaution.”
