Williams-Sonoma, Inc. WSM today announced operating results for the first fiscal quarter ("Q1 19") ended May 5, 2019 versus the first fiscal quarter ("Q1 18") ended April 29, 2018.

Laura Alber, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We have had a strong start to 2019 with comparable revenue growth of 3.5%, operating margin expansion and significant EPS growth. Notes to Exhibit 1:

    1     During Q1 19 and Q1 18, we incurred approximately $6.4 million and $6.9 million, respectively, of expense, primarily associated with acquisition-related compensation expense and amortization of intangible assets, as well as the operations of Outward, Inc., of which $5.9 million and $6.3 million, respectively, were recorded within selling, general and administrative expenses.
