Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) shares have received a bump in Thursday's pre-market session following comments from analysts at Barclays and Evercore.

At last check, the company's shares were trading at $40.01 a increase of 1.39 percent from Wednesday's close.

Barclays: Overweight, $46 PT
Analysts at Barclays initiated coverage on Twitter with an Overweight rating, stating that they believe "monetization could surprise on the upside."

Evercore: Overweight, $48 PT
The team at Evercore reiterated an Overweight rating on Twitter citing easier comp growth, help to user growth due to incremental engagement from the World Cup and the potential for immediate impact to ad monetization from expanded MoPub capabilities.
