In a report published Friday, Deutsche Bank analyst Greg Poole reiterated a Hold rating on
Bridgepoint EducationBPI
, and raised the price target from $9.00 to $13.00. In the report, Deutsche Bank noted, “Cost reductions driving better EPS outlook. Despite negative 2Q expectations and weak enrollment trends, we are raising our forward estimates and target with Ashford U's accreditation issues in the rearview mirror and $85m in cost cuts by 2014. We lower 2Q EPS from $0.34 to $0.27 but raise 2013 by 11% to $0.98 and 2014 from ($0.05) to $0.49. We maintain our Hold as better cost control is offset by weak enrollment trends. We are not convinced Ashford can return to new enrollment growth in 4Q, as management guided.” Bridgepoint Education closed on Thursday at $15.92.
