VTB Capital Reiterates Buy Rating, $16.40 PT for VimpelCom

In a company-specific comment published earlier today, VTB Capital reiterated its Buy rating and $16.40 price target for VimpelCom Ltd.

, related to the ongoing debate between major shareholders of the company. VTB Capital went on to say “We think that, until there is a breakthrough in the discussions over control in VimpelCom Ltd, shareholders' value will be locked. However, we do not see it as lost, as we believe that VimpelCom Ltd's operations will not be hurt (as was the case in Altimo's and Telenor's previous battles).” VimpelCom Ltd. closed yesterday at $7.24.
