Goldman Sachs Reports On RIMM Capital Markets Day

Goldman Sachs attended Research In Motion RIMM's Capital Markets Day and reported on five key announcements made by the company. According to Goldman Sachs, “We attended RIM's Capital Markets Day (CMD) in Orlando, FL on Monday. The company made several announcements, including (1) BlackBerry 7, its latest (and likely final) version of its proprietary OS, (2) the new Bold 9900/9930 smartphone, its first BB 7 device, (3) a video chat app for the PlayBook, (4) BlackBerry Balance, a solution for keeping personal and work content separate on a BlackBerry smartphone, and (5) Project Fuse, a central point for managing mobile devices at an enterprise, including non- BlackBerry devices such as Android.” Goldman Sachs maintains its $50 price target and Sell rating on RIMM, as it did not view these announcements as ones that would alter the trajectory of the stock. RIMM closed yesterday at $48.10.
