US Stock Futures Up; All Eyes On Jobs Report

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. Data on non-farm payrolls for September will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while factory orders data for August will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 55.5 points to 16,245.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 6 points to 1,922.75. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index surged 19.75 points to 4,207.25.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index gaining 1.03 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index jumping 1.52 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.46 percent. French CAC 40 Index rose 1.80 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 1.55 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.02 percent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 3.17 percent.
