Data on non-farm payrolls for September will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while factory orders data for August will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 55.5 points to 16,245.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 6 points to 1,922.75.
