Anadigics Products Popular with Chinese OEMs - Analyst Blog

Leading manufacturer of ProEficient and ProVantage power amplifiers (PAs) Anadigics, Inc. ANAD was recently selected by multiple Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to deliver wireless connectivity in new-design smartphones.

The ProEficient solutions offer differentiated performance supporting the new generation smartphones for China and emerging markets. At the same time, the ProVantage PAs deliver exceptional value and performance with high-power mode efficiency, linearity and reduced system costs. Both PAs can be designed for use with an external switch mode power supply (SMPS) to support average power tracking APT, which increases efficiency and reduces current consumption at low operating powers.

Space-saving integration and lower overall system expense make these PAs ideally suited for manufacturers. The ProVantage and ProEficient PAs leverage on the company's InGaP-Plus technology to achieve superior performance and integration, improving reliability while reducing space requirements at the same time.
 
Anadigics is continuously extending its product portfolio in markets where multiple PAs are needed. Incremental demand for wireless connectivity in a growing number of consumer devices, including smartphones and tablets, provide substantial growth opportunities for Anadigics. According to a research report, the annual growth rate in smartphone shipments is expected to exceed 30% in 2014 from Chinese OEMs. Moving forward, the new design wins for ProEficient and ProVantage PAs are likely to augment mobile products revenue for Anadigics.
