Rubicon Plummets 30%, Hits All-Time Low After Q4 Report

The Rubicon Project Inc RUBI shares are trading lower by $2.27 (27 percent) at $6.12 in Wednesday's session. The company, which offers a technology solution to automate the purchase and sale of advertising for both buyers and sellers, is poised to close at a new all-time low.

The Street isn't reacting favorably to its Q4 EPS report and Q1 EPS guidance that didn't compare with estimates. It posted a Q$ sales beat of $8.7 million, but Q1 sales will be below $54 million estimates, coming in the $41-$44 million range.

After a much lower open, Rubicon's stock managed only a $0.07 bounce to $6.77 before continuing its move lower. It has now surpassed its former all-time low from November ($6.12) as $6.08 stands as the low for the session as of 10:52 a.m. ET.

In order to avoid posting a new all-time closing low, it will need to settle above $6.23.
