Himax Technologies, Inc. (ADR) HIMX shares are trading higher by $0.50 (9 percent) at $5.87 in Tuesday's session. There is no specific news on the issue to account for the rally.
In fact, on Friday the issue reached its lowest level since June 2013 low ($4.76), when it bottomed at $4.88 in Friday's session. It rebounded to close the session at $5.06.
On Monday, it opened higher and never looked back, rallying from $5.06 to $5.37.
After a higher open, it found support just under Monday's close ($5.37), only reaching $5.35 before continuing its march higher. So far, the ensuing rally has taken the issue to $6.00 and has backed off that high. That's just under a quad of highs from $6.01 to $6.12 January 9, 10, 11 and 12.
